The Garment Collection exists primarily as a research collection documenting the evolution of 20th century fashion. It includes women’s, men’s, children’s, military, and ethnic (non-Western) clothing, costumes, textiles, and accessories. This collection holds clothing from moderate to high price ranges, as well as, home-made, designer, and mass-produced items

To search the Garment Collection, choose a designer, decade, origin, or key fashion term. If the object number is known enter it in the Keyword Search. Please keep in mind that this is not a complete record of the collection. You can search approximately 5,900 items of the collection though some items may be missing information (example: photographs).
